Montclair State University

On November 17th, 2008, Dr. Desai gave an enlightening presentation titled, “The Crash of 2008”. The presentation offered a scholarly perspective on the ongoing financial crisis in the United States vis-à-vis the world and was open to all students and faculty members at Montclair State University.  

In his presentation Dr. Desai narrated the unfolding of the financial crisis in the United States and its multi-layer impact at the global level. Additionally, he challenged Montclair students to question standard solutions that have been proposed and implemented so far, and to come up with new and innovative ideas that would help contain the crisis in the short-run and ensure sustainability of the current economic paradigm in the long-run.
