Accounting Professor receives 2008 Bright Ideas Award

Agatha E. Jeffers, CPA; PhD, Associate Professor of Accounting, Law & Taxation in the School of Business (SBUS) at Montclair State University, is the recipient of the 2008 “Bright Idea” Award in Taxation for her paper entitled “Towards a Framework for the Measurement of Financial and Managerial Implications of Green Accounting in Corporations.”

 

The annual award is sponsored by the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University and the NJPRO Foundation, the public policy research affiliate of the New Jersey Business and Industry Association (NJBIA).  Dr. Jeffers’ work was one of the top nine manuscripts selected in 2008 by the two organizations from over 125 publications of New Jersey business faculty research. These publications are compiled in the Seventh Annual Volume of the Published Research Works of business faculty within New Jersey from 2007.

 

Dr. Agatha E. Jeffers, accompanied by Professor Frank Aquilino, Chairman of the Department of Accounting, Law & Taxation and Ms. Karen Dennis, Assistant Dean of the School of Business received her award at an Awards ceremony to honor the recipients held at Middlesex County College on Friday, November 7, 2008.
