The Accounting concentration is designed to prepare MBA students for careers in public and private accounting and in financial management, and also to sit for the CPA exam. Electives in this field are valuable for MBA students whose careers involve financial analysis, financial management, or general management, by enhancing their understanding of accounting information and practice in business.
The following courses should be completed to have the topical coverage needed to sit for the CPA exam (in addition to the MBA required courses: ACCT 501 - Financial Accounting and ACCT 502 - Managerial Accounting):
